Karen “Cookie” Regn, 67, an extraordinary mother and grandmother died on Monday, November 7, 2011, at her home after a 4 year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite Leto of Kennett Square. Karen was known for her loving and caring personality that affected so many lives including many that considered her their second mother. The door to her house was always open for those whose lives she touched. She was actively involved with her children and their activities. Her smiling face was seen for many years working at Melina’s Tots to Teens in Malvern and the Paoli Acme. Karen is survived by her children, James Woolard (Ann) of Delray Beach Florida, Dawn Woolard of Downingtown and David Regn (Kellie) of Downingtown; brother, Joseph Leto; sisters, Johanna DiCecco and Marguerite Leta; and seven grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, at St. Patrick Church, 104 Channing Avenue, Malvern, PA 19355, where friends may greet the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Chester County Cancer Center, 440 East Marshall Street, Suite 201, West Chester, PA 19380.
